Subject:I'm married!!!
Time:08:41 am
Does it feel different...?  Kind of.  I feel like I want to be really nice to him.  There's no real point in sweating the small stuff at this point.  But then again, it's only day 5 of married life.  lol!  Check back with me in 10 years to see if we've murdered each other already. :)

I do know I made the right decision.  I'm 100% attracted to him physically and mentally.  Our communication is on point, and we're always on the same page about things.  He's really easy going, and gets along great with my friends and family.  He doesn't over-spend or have a ton of debt.  He's passionate about everything he is involved in, yet he puts me above all.   He doesn't lie or cheat, and he does everything in his power to make my life easier and stress free.

It's time to kick back and enjoy the ride. :)

Subject:Missing Wedding Invitations
Time:12:34 pm

I sent out a total of 440 wedding invitations in the last month.

I got a little suspicious when the RSVP's didn't come in as quickly or as much as I thought they should, so I started calling my friends, to see if they received the invitation.  HELLA people did not get it. :(  wth is up w/ the post office?  Can anything be done about this?  I have my return address on it, and even put extra postage, and still, nothing got returned to me.  :(

Sigh, I'm currently on hold w/ Expedia.

I booked my tickets to Vegas about a year ago, as soon as I booked the venue.  US Airway kept changing my flight times.  We're getting married on 8.8.08 at 9am, but need to get our license at the courthouse the day before.  The courthouse is only open from 8am-12pm.  We got a flight in, arriving at 7:54am, enough time for us to get to the courthouse.  US Airways then changes our flight, having us come in at 11:50am, which doesn't work.  So we had to fly in an extra night early, on 8.6.08, and Expedia gave us a free hotel night stay at crappy Stratosphere.  Fine, works for me.

We planned on going to Rehab on Sunday, and coming home at 9:30pm.  US Airway changed the flight time, having us leave Vegas at 11:59pm, and not arriving in SJ until 1:30am. wth?  So I caled Expedia, and the only other flight time w/ US Airway was 4pm, which would make me miss Rehab, the only party I'm looking forward to in Vegas.  So the girl suggested getting a full refund on the tickets, and looking for other tickets.  I said, lets look for other tickets first, so we can see if there is anything worth switching for.  Somehow she misunderstood, and canceled my US Airway round trip flight, which cost $200/each last year.  Now the cheapest flight we can get out is $380/each.  I've been passed from supervisor to supervisor, since I didn't authorize the refund.  Expedia and US Airway can't do anything about it, because the flight was already canceled...

Current hold time.. 2 hours and 21 minutes...and counting...

Subject:Year of the Rat SUX! :(
Time:08:18 am

My horoscope for this year said it's going to be a bad year.  We'll make $, but people will try to swindle all of our $.  We might get in trouble w/ the law, etc.

This year, I decided not to go to the temple at midnight to ring in the new year.  I just didn't feel like dealing w/ the crowds, and staying up late, etc.  When I woke up in the morning, something bit my eye, and my whole left eye was swollen shut. :(  Then I got to work and my badge stopped working.  Facilities had no idea why.  Then the next day, I was in such a rush to leave work, I left my purse and makeup bag at work.  I carpool with this lady, and didn't realize I didn't have my keys until I got back to her house. :(  Grrrrrrr.

I took my grandparents and auntie/uncle over to the hall, so they can get a look at the place.  They HATED it.  They said they'd give me 10k, to get a nicer place.  But it's not about that to me. :(  If they gave me 10k, I'd rather save it, then spend it on an expensive ass hall for just ONE night.  I'm too practical. Now they're insisting on looking for a new location.  When my intention for showing them the hall was for ideas on decorating.  Sigh.  They don't get it. :(

So we finally booked a hall for the reception, and have the date.  Sept. 27th, 2008.  Wow, it's happening so fast!

Originally, I wasn't going to get a wedding photographer, cuz I was just going to make veann do it for free.  but considering I want her to actually ENJOY the wedding, I looked into hiring wedding photographers.  The one I really really wanted and could afford was Karla's.  But of course, he's booked already.  Bleh.  So now, plan b?  There is no plan b.  Sigh.

Y does it all have to cost so much?  And the thing is, who really remembers what centerpiece you had, or what invitations you sent out?  Yet, when I'm there making the decision, Y can't I just go w/ the cheapest thing out there?

I wish my parents and grandparent's friends had emails, so I could just evite invitations to them. :)

I'm planning on getting on Birth Control, and I wanted to see what you guys thought of the pill.  I tried it once, back in college, but it made me gain weight and break out, even though I was using Ortho Tri Cyclin.  This time around, I know there are many more choices.  But since I'm getting married in September, I really really don't want to gain weight or break out.  I heard with the shot, if you have bad reactions, you're stuck with them for 3 months.  My friend did that one, where you put something inside, and you can take it out once you want to have kids.  But I'm worried about cramps. :(   My other friend's lady just got pregnant, and she was on the pill.  Can you get pregant while on the pill?  Or did she forget to take them or something?

I used to want kids, but lately, I don't think I want kids. Ever.  I used to be scared to say that, because I was scared to jinx myself.  But now, I really don't see a need for kids.  They cost a LOT of money and time.  And with little return.   What if my kid turned out bad?  Or what do I do if they want to move away and not live near me?  Then what would the point have been, to spend 18 years of my time, devoted to them?  So now, I don't even want to have an accident of having a kid, and am finally seriously considering birth control.

I talked to Myk about it, and he said he never really thought he wanted kids either.  But he'd still like to revisit this conversation in 5 years, to see how we feel at that time.

I met a lady in the nursing home my grandmother was at, who didn't have kids of her own.  Once her husband died, she was really lonely, and she died shortly after.  But then on the flip side, I met other ladies who had lots of kids, but they never called or visit, so she was in there as well.....

I adore my friends' kids.  More than just wanting to hold them real quick now.  But by 29, shouldn't my clock have been ringing off the hook?

...since we left you, without a dope beat to step to, step to, step to.... :)

What I'm up to now?

Job:  Doing Technical Writing and Technical Support at VeriSign.  Odd because I'm super low tech.  Weird, because guys seem to get turned on hearing girls talk about servers and troubleshooting junk.

Love life:  I got engaged on December 2nd.  He's dope.  My family doesn't know yet.  We'll tell them in 6 months.

Family life:  My hamster is sick. :(  She has Wet Tail.  She's already 1.5 years old.  We're treating her with meds at home, but I heard that stuff doesn't work, and we have to take her to the vet.  The vet said it would cost $100 to fix a $7.99 hamster.  But she's so sweet.  I'm still trying to decide what to do.  I can't feel good knowing I can fix my hamster by taking her to the vet, but then if she dies 3 months later anyways, what's the point?    My beta fish has a urinary tract infection.  He's swimming vertical right now.  Venus is still adorable.  We had her in diapers for a bit, because of her period.  Hella cute. :)  It's been a year since my grandfather's passing, and 11 months since my grandma's.  I miss my grandpa when I sit down for dinner to a glass of wine.  I miss my grandma when I make certain Vietnamese dishes for dinner.  Life is really short.  No moment should be wasted on doing something you don't want to do unless it's a direct benefit to something else you are trying to accomplish in the future.

Social life:  I used to love partying EVERY night of the week.  Then I changed my work schedule to 5am-2pm and it put a stop to that.  Now my schedule is back to 7am-4pm, but I lost that desire to party.  Maybe it's because it was so cold outside?  My normal social nights now consists of going to a friend's house for a group dinner, along with a few bottles of good wine.  It's cheaper, and you get more quality conversation about flying cockroaches in Viet Nam.  Once a week I go to my mom's for dinner, so she can get used to Myk.  Every other week I go visit my grandparents, because I miss them a lot when I don't.

Health:  I've been going to the gym 3 days a week during lunch.  I know it's not much, but it's better than sitting here at my desk, or going out for all you can eat Indian Buffet.  I'm at 116lbs.  I want to get down to 110 by summer.  Or at least be more tone.  I don't try to eat more healthy tho. :(  Tho at 28, I should be making that as part of my lifestyle change.

I've been stuck playing Paper Mario on Nate's Gamecube....I swear I'm addicted to it.

Oh, and I can't stop watching I Love New York.  I want Chance to win, cuz he's thuggish ruggish. :)

My stupid viberator broke AGAIN! I totally love the honey bear. It's 3 inches, has pointy hands that grab and point just right, and it's super strong. I can't seem to find the same model online, and I'm starting to think they're poorly made (this is the 3rd one i broke). Anyways, anyone have any recommendations for a good one? I like "spot-treatment" toys more. :)

Gracias

So I come in to work and I found out he sold the bar. We had a new owner. He didn't tell me anything. A while back, he said he'd give us a bonus. Now he's saying he didn't make $$. I don't know. It's summer now, so no more sub gigs. I need a new jobby job. Somewhere in South San Jose would be perfect. Anyone know of anything? :(

Subject:Monday night cook nights?
Time:04:30 am
When I was in SoCal, we had to stop off in San Diego to drop off Terrence's fishies. The house we went to was having a cooknight. Turns out they have a cook night every Wednesday, to watch some show. I already forgot what it was called. Alias or something like that. But whatever show it was, it really is a nice way to keep in touch with your friends. Since I work 6 nights a week now, my only night to chill and cook for the roomies is on Monday. So yeah, Monday night cook nights. Who's down? I'll be cooking already. :) And I have illegal cable now, so I get ALL the channels.

Come over and play. :)
